I'm reading "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" by Joshua Harris. I've owned it for at least 3 years, but had thought of it has a "high school" book... I guess. ha Turns out I shouldn't be so prideful cause Mr. Harris has lots of awesome things to say. I've heard there is a sequel... and I'll definitely be looking into it. Soooo, don't judge it by it's title and go read it. ;)
I went to the Boxamania ASWF wrestling function yesterday. I was expecting it to be fun, but I enjoyed it way more than I expected. haha It was hilarious, not to mention lots of super awesome people were there.

I've been in a really weird mood today. Just kinda of nonchalant. I am craving sour patch kids though.
Have a good week!
You might find my blog of interest where I critique Josh Harris's book.

I Kissed Dating Goodbye: Wisdom or Foolishness?
Unfortunately Josh Harris is quick to point out the problems with dating but reluctant to share any of the problems with his approach.
Hope this helps.
Steve,
ReplyDeleteI think you're focusing on this one subject, book, and/or person WAY too much. I read your intro and a few other blog posts that caught my eye and that is a LOT of blogging on one person and his opinion. Especially someone who I think is searching the Lord's will and isn't completely off track. Sure he is flawed, but we all are and should take that into account when reading another human being's opinion on life and how to live it. He also openly states in the intro to my copy of "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" that it's completely ok to disagree with him, that dating isn't REALLY the point, it's chasing after God and His will is for your life.
I feel like all this energy and thought could be put to better use by counter-acting Satan himself and the effect he has on us with his many lies. I say all this but admit that I have not read all your blog or even much about Mr. Harris outside of what I've read in his book. I understand that you think it is dangerous to go to far to an extreme in Mr. Harris's ideas... but I think in our general American culture we are far from that.
Thanks for your impute! I plan on reading through a few more of your opinions. :)
Missing image! A little suggestion: You may want to download images first, and then upload them, rather than post links to them because if the url for that image changes, or the owner takes it down, it would no longer show up.
